It’s not every day the worlds of motoring and the supernatural collide…In a real-life ‘who-dunnit’ that would have spooked even Mrs. Marple, a motorist called her local council to ask them if ghosts had moved her car.

‘This town, is coming like a ghost town’…Well, not exactly – this ghostly event took place in the not-so-otherworldly surroundings of a car park in Sutton, south London. The woman made the desperate call to see if the car park was haunted after her vehicle ‘moved of its own accord’.

Scary stuff indeed, I just hope Casper remembered to fasten his ‘sheet’-belt!!

Luckily, before the council lifted the phone to call the ‘Ghostbusters’ they did some detective work and discovered the supernatural intervention had a simpler, less dramatic explanation. The CCTV footage clearly showed the car had rolled into a different parking space after the woman failed to apply her handbrake properly.
